Buying for a shop? Trade pricing is available — we supply independent shops and warehouse businesses across the UK.
Badar takes its name from badr, the full moon, and it is the deeper, more traditional blend in the Al Towba mamool range — wood powder worked with agarwood oil, musk, amber and sandalwood, then hand-rolled and cured until the pieces are firm.
On the coal it opens smoky and resinous, settles into sweet oud, and leaves a creamy sandalwood-musk behind. This is the one to light before guests arrive or on a Friday morning; it fills a hallway quickly and stays in soft furnishings for days.
Scent: Oud and smoky wood, amber, musk, creamy sandalwood.
Burns: 5–10 minutes a piece; the room holds the scent for roughly 4–6 hours.
Size: 85g jar, roughly 25–35 pieces. Made in the U.A.E.
How to use: Light a charcoal disc until it greys over, then place one piece on top — or use an electric burner, which needs no charcoal. Never leave a burner unattended, keep it out of reach of children, and crack a window if the room is small.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 is £3.75 and arrives in 2–3 working days; Tracked 24 is £4.50 and arrives in 1–2. Delivery is free once your basket reaches £50. Orders are picked and posted the next working day — anything ordered Friday to Sunday goes out on the Monday. We ship within the UK only.
Changed your mind? Tell us within 14 days of delivery. Bakhoor has to come back with the jar unopened and its seal intact — once a jar has been opened we can't resell it. If it arrives damaged or the jar is broken, send us a photo within 48 hours and we will replace it — nothing to post back.
Is it genuine?
Is it genuine?
Yes. Everything we list is bought as sealed retail stock and held on our own shelves here in the UK. Nothing is decanted, refilled or drop-shipped. We began as a wholesaler supplying independent shops across the UK, and still do.
How to burn it
How to burn it
- Light a charcoal disc at the edge until it stops sparking and greys over — two to three minutes — then set one piece of bakhoor on top. An electric burner does the same job with no charcoal at all.
- One piece smokes for five to ten minutes. The scent stays in the room for hours afterwards, so start with less than you think you need.
- Carry the burner from room to room, and hold clothes or a scarf over the smoke for a minute to scent the fabric.
- Never leave a lit burner unattended, keep it well away from children and curtains, and open a window if the room is small.
- Close the jar firmly between uses and keep it out of direct sunlight so the oils do not dry out.
